Multi-Reticle System
- 2 MOA dotPrecision

Three reticle options from one emitter. As a rule of thumb, 1 MOA is about 1 inch at 100 yards, so the 32 MOA circle spans roughly 32 inches there.
Six things the AEMS Micro Gold MRS does
-
Enclosed micro design
The emitter sits inside a fully enclosed housing, so dust, lint, rain and debris cannot block the reticle the way they can on an open-emitter optic.
-
Square 0.71″ window
A 0.71 × 0.71 inch window, as tall as it is wide, that Holosun designed to maximize usable glass within a compact micro footprint.
-
Multi-Reticle System
Choose a 2 MOA dot for precision, a 32 MOA circle for speed, or both together, from one emitter and one zero.
-
Auto brightness + Solar Failsafe
A forward-facing light sensor sets brightness automatically, and an integrated solar panel supplements the battery.
-
Shake Awake + Lockout
Motion powers the optic on instantly and saves the battery when idle; Memory keeps your setting and Lockout Mode prevents accidental changes.
-
Side-loading CR1620
The battery tray slides out of the side, so the optic stays on the slide. Holosun rates it up to 100,000 hours at setting 6.

AEMS Micro footprint + RMSc plate
The AEMS Micro uses its own micro footprint, and Holosun includes an RMSc to AEMS Micro adapter plate so it also fits RMSc-cut slides. Center mount height is 0.63″. Slide cuts and screw requirements vary, so confirm your pistol’s cut first.
AEMS Micro vs EPS Core MRS
Holosun’s two 2026 enclosed carry optics share the same reticle system; they differ in window shape, footprint, housing and battery rating.

Holosun AEMS Micro Gold MRS questions, answered
What is the Holosun AEMS Micro Gold MRS (AEMS-MICRO-GD)?
The AEMS-MICRO-GD is the gold version of Holosun’s AEMS Micro, a 2026 enclosed-emitter pistol sight in a true micro footprint. It has a square 0.71 × 0.71 inch window, the Multi-Reticle System (2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle or both), automatic brightness, Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake and a side-loading CR1620 rated up to 100,000 hours. An RMSc adapter plate is included.
What footprint does the AEMS Micro use?
It has its own AEMS Micro footprint, and Holosun includes an RMSc to AEMS Micro adapter plate so it also fits slides cut for the RMSc pattern. Slide cuts and screw requirements vary, so confirm your pistol’s cut before ordering.
AEMS Micro or EPS Core?
Both are Holosun enclosed pistol sights with the same 2 MOA dot / 32 MOA circle reticle system. The AEMS Micro has a square 0.71 × 0.71 inch window, a 7075-T6 housing, 1 MOA clicks and a 100,000-hour rating, and mounts with an included RMSc plate. The EPS Core MRS has a wider 0.90 × 0.63 inch window, mounts directly on RMSc, and is lighter at 1.4 oz versus 2.1 oz.
Is the AEMS Micro the same as the AEMS rifle optic?
No. The original Holosun AEMS is a larger enclosed sight for rifles. The AEMS Micro is a new 2026 pistol optic that shares the name and the enclosed design but has its own compact housing and footprint.
Why choose an enclosed-emitter optic?
On an open-emitter sight, dust, lint, rain or mud can land on the emitter and block the reticle. An enclosed sight seals the emitter inside the housing, which is why enclosed optics are popular for carry and duty use.
What reticles does the AEMS Micro have?
Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System gives three options: a 2 MOA dot for precise shots, a 32 MOA circle for fast pickup, or the circle and dot together. As a rule of thumb, the 32 MOA circle spans about 32 inches at 100 yards.
How long does the battery last?
Holosun rates the AEMS-MICRO-GD at up to 100,000 hours on one CR1620. Shake Awake powers the optic down when idle, and Solar Failsafe supplements the battery in light.
Why choose a gold reticle?
Holosun positions gold as its high-contrast reticle: it stays visible against bright targets and visually complex backgrounds where red can wash out. Green (AEMS-MICRO-GR) is the bright-light visibility pick and red (AEMS-MICRO-RD) the traditional one. Housing, window, footprint and reticle system are identical across the three.
Do I have to remove the optic to change the battery?
No. The CR1620 loads from a side tray, so the optic stays on the slide during a battery change.
Is the AEMS Micro waterproof?
Yes. Holosun rates it IPX8 for submersion and tests it to 5,000 G of vibration, with a working range of −30 °C to 60 °C.
