Holosun EPS Core Gold MRS: enclosed carry optic with a full-size EPS lens
Full-size EPS lens. Enclosed emitter. RMSc footprint for slim carry pistols.
Holosun’s new 2026 enclosed carry optic: the full-size EPS viewing lens on a compact RMSc-footprint body, with a sealed emitter that keeps dust, lint and rain off the reticle. The gold Multi-Reticle System (590 nm) gives a 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle or both; a forward-facing light sensor, Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake and a side-loading CR1620 round it out. 1.4 oz, IPX8. Also searched as the Holosun EPS-CORE, EPS Core Gold, EPS Core MRS or EPS CORE GD MRS.

Multi-Reticle System
- 2 MOA dotPrecision
- 32 MOA circleSpeed
- Circle + dotBoth
Three reticle options from one emitter. As a rule of thumb, 1 MOA is about 1 inch at 100 yards, so the 32 MOA circle spans roughly 32 inches there.
Six things the EPS Core Gold MRS does
-
Enclosed emitter
The emitter sits inside a sealed housing, so dust, lint, rain and debris cannot block the reticle the way they can on an open-emitter optic.
-
Full-size EPS lens
Holosun puts the full-size EPS viewing lens, a 0.90 × 0.63 inch window, on a compact RMSc-footprint body built for slim carry pistols.
-
Multi-Reticle System
Choose a 2 MOA dot for precision, a 32 MOA circle for speed, or both together. One optic covers slow, careful shots and fast close work.
-
Light sensor + Solar Failsafe
A forward-facing light sensor adjusts brightness to the light you are aiming into, and the solar panel supplements the battery.
-
Shake Awake + Memory
Motion powers the reticle on instantly and down when idle; manual brightness has 8 daylight and 4 night-vision settings with memory and lockout.
-
Side-loading CR1620
The battery tray slides out of the side, so the optic stays on the slide. Rated up to 50,000 hours at setting 6.

RMSc footprint
The EPS Core mounts directly on the RMSc footprint used by many slim and subcompact optics-ready slides, with no adapter plate. Slide cuts and screw requirements vary, so confirm your pistol’s cut first.
Enclosed vs open emitter
An open-emitter sight like the 507C X3 leaves the LED exposed at the base of the window, where lint, dust or rain can block it. The EPS Core seals the emitter behind glass, front and rear, which is why enclosed optics suit carry and bad weather. Window is 0.90″ × 0.63″; the optic weighs 1.4 oz.

Holosun EPS Core Gold MRS questions, answered
What is the Holosun EPS Core Gold MRS (EPS-CORE-GD-MRS)?
The EPS-CORE-GD-MRS is the gold Multi-Reticle version of Holosun’s EPS Core, a 2026 enclosed-emitter pistol sight. It puts the full-size EPS lens on a compact RMSc-footprint body for slim carry pistols, with a 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle or both, a forward-facing light sensor, Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake and a side-loading CR1620.
What is the difference between the EPS Core and the EPS?
Both are Holosun enclosed pistol sights with the same full-size EPS viewing lens. The EPS Core mounts directly on the RMSc footprint used by many slim and subcompact slides; the original EPS uses Holosun’s K footprint.
Why choose an enclosed-emitter optic?
On an open-emitter sight, dust, lint, rain or mud can land on the emitter and block the reticle. An enclosed sight seals the emitter inside the housing, which is why enclosed optics are popular for concealed carry and duty use.
What footprint does the EPS Core use?
The RMSc footprint, a direct mount on many slim and subcompact optics-ready slides with no adapter plate. Slide cuts and screw requirements vary, so confirm your pistol’s cut before ordering.
What reticles does the EPS Core MRS have?
Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System gives three options: a 2 MOA dot for precise shots, a 32 MOA circle for fast pickup, or the circle and dot together. As a rule of thumb, the 32 MOA circle spans about 32 inches at 100 yards.
How long does the battery last?
Holosun rates the EPS-CORE-GD-MRS at up to 50,000 hours at brightness setting 6 on one CR1620. Shake Awake powers the reticle down when idle, and Solar Failsafe supplements the battery in light.
Does the EPS Core adjust brightness automatically?
It has a forward-facing light sensor that Holosun says automatically adjusts brightness, plus 12 manual settings (8 daylight and 4 night-vision) with memory and a lockout.
Why choose a gold reticle?
Holosun positions gold as its high-contrast reticle: it stays distinct against bright, washed-out targets and cluttered backgrounds. Green (EPS-CORE-GR-MRS) is the bright-light visibility pick and red (EPS-CORE-RD-MRS) the traditional one. Housing, window, footprint and reticle system are identical across the three.
Do I have to remove the optic to change the battery?
No. The CR1620 loads from a side tray, so the optic stays on the slide during a battery change.
Is the EPS Core waterproof?
Yes. Holosun rates it IPX8 for submersion and tests it to 5,000 G of vibration, with a working range of −30 °C to 60 °C.
