Six things the 407COMP Green does
-
Bold 6 MOA dot
One big, clean 6 MOA dot and nothing else in the window: easy to find on the draw and to track through recoil on fast, close stages.
-
Large competition window
A 1.10 × 0.87 inch window, the same size as the 507COMP, for a wider view and smoother transitions between targets.
-
High-visibility green dot
Holosun’s green reticle is built for rapid target acquisition and strong contrast in bright lighting and high-speed competition shooting.
-
Shake Awake + Memory
Motion powers the dot on the instant the pistol moves and down when it sits idle, and it wakes at the last brightness you used.
-
Lockout Mode
Manual brightness with a lockout, so a holster, bag or bump between stages cannot change your setting.
-
Side-loading CR1632
The battery tray slides out of the side, so the optic stays on the slide. Holosun rates it up to 100,000 hours at setting 6.

RMR-pattern footprint
The 407COMP uses the industry-standard RMR-pattern footprint, so it mounts directly on slides cut for the Trijicon RMR and on RMR adapter plates. Window is 1.10″ × 0.87″; the optic weighs 1.7 oz.

Holosun 407COMP Green questions, answered
What is the Holosun 407COMP Green (HE407COMP-GR-6)?
The HE407COMP-GR-6 is the green version of Holosun’s 407COMP, a 2026 open-reflex competition sight with a single bold 6 MOA dot. It has a large 1.10 × 0.87 inch window, Shake Awake with Memory Mode, Lockout Mode and a side-loading CR1632, in a 7075-T6 aluminum housing on the RMR footprint.
What is the difference between the 407COMP and the 507COMP?
They share the same housing, 1.10 × 0.87 inch window, 1.7 oz weight, footprint and controls. The 407COMP has one bold 6 MOA dot; the 507COMP has the Performance Reticle System, a 2 MOA dot with selectable 8, 20 or 32 MOA circles. Pick the 407COMP if you want the simplest possible sight picture.
407COMP or 507 Promax?
The 507 Promax has a larger 1.18 × 0.98 inch window, a forward-leaning sunshade, Solar Failsafe and the multi-circle Performance Reticle System, in a slightly larger body (1.80 × 1.40 × 1.38 inches). The 407COMP keeps the smaller 507COMP-size housing and a single 6 MOA dot, with no solar panel.
Why a 6 MOA dot?
A bigger dot is faster to pick up on the draw and easier to track through recoil, which suits close, high-tempo competition stages. As a rule of thumb, 6 MOA covers about 6 inches at 100 yards, so it trades some precision at distance for speed up close.
What footprint does the 407COMP use?
The industry-standard RMR pattern. It mounts directly on slides cut for the Trijicon RMR and on RMR adapter plates. Holosun includes 6-32 mounting screws in 9.5 mm and 7.4 mm lengths.
How long does the battery last?
Holosun’s spec table rates the HE407COMP-GR-6 at up to 100,000 hours at brightness setting 6 on one CR1632. Shake Awake powers the dot down when the pistol is idle, which stretches real-world life.
Is the 407COMP night-vision compatible?
Yes. Holosun’s spec table lists 12 brightness settings: 8 daylight and 4 night-vision compatible.
Green or red 407COMP?
Green (HE407COMP-GR-6) is Holosun’s choice for fast visual pickup and contrast in bright conditions. Red (HS407COMP-RD-6) is the traditional color and costs less. Gold (HS407COMP-GD-6) is the high-contrast option against bright targets. Housing, window, 6 MOA dot size and footprint are identical across all three.
Does the 407COMP have a solar panel?
No. Unlike the 507C X3 and the 507 Promax, the 407COMP runs on its CR1632 alone, with no Solar Failsafe and no automatic brightness. Shake Awake and Memory Mode handle power saving.
Is the 407COMP waterproof?
Yes. It is IP67 rated and tested to 5,000 G of vibration, with a working range of −30 °C to 60 °C.
